the reason i'm asking is because, i finally gave up using dbase iv v1.5
embedded SQL to access data in my program. after finding LOTS of bugs
that borland hesistated to fix, even finding them out before shipping the
compiler and db4 version 2.0. i'm sick and tired of getting a particular
bug, quitting and restarting dbase to fix it, i gave up on the experiment
and gone back to the old, but working way. e-mail is fine, but horror
stories should be public...

later days...

actually, using the sql commands will still be slower since it has to be
translated INTO dbase commands. you just don't see it, like a .QBE file.
