Cisco & FOIRL Solution?

I've been looking for a good solution for connecting FOIRL ethernet
connections to an AGS+. I've been using the MEC-6 AUI interfaces and
currently use a Canary MX FOIRL transceiver for each interface. This
is somewhat flimsy but gets the job done. I would really like to rack
mount transceivers for this, what does the rest of the world do for
this insane arrangement?

I was looking for the very same thing a few months ago for a System Spec to
go from an AGS+ to a SynOptics concentrator via FOIRL. No one (Cisco or 3rd
party vendors) make a FIROL applique. The best we could do is get small AUI to
FOIRL transceivers. Several vendors for those, Allied Telesis is one I
remember.

If you find a better solution, let me know.
