I have to add, however, (and this is after being chastised by a supplier...which
is the basis for another discussion...:-|)  that the co. is not sure this is 
the fix for the problem we are having-so, as they say, your mileage will vary.

Will report back if it doesn't solve the problem...for those that have
replied with like problems with this hdwe.; will summarize for y'all.

well, another new year is underway...:-)
