FDDI analyzers, when are they necessary?

With the high cost of FDDI packet analyzers I was wondering at what point
does it become necessary or a good investment to spend the money and buy one?
10 nodes, 30 nodes, 100 nodes? If you are not using a FDDI analyzer, what
methods do you use for troubleshooting your FDDI network?

What FDDI analyzers are you using on your network? I have the info on the
Lanhawk product line. Any comments on their equipment or anyone else's would
be appreciated.

You can email to basand@monsanto.com or post.

Thanks in advance,
Brett Sanders
