This is my first attempt, so I appolgise in advance for any
errors/stupidity.

I am urgently looking for a supplier of an FDDI (single or dual
attacment) VME card.

If anyone out there can suggest a possible source I would really
appreciate it.

The Company for which I work - Network Peripherals, currently sells a VME
FDDI Card. It is available in both Single Attach ad Dual Attach. It
currently supports SunOS 4.1.1, 4.1.2, and 4.1.3. For a reseller in the UK
you can contact Unity Distribution/Logical Networks (Slough,Berks S11 4LP) at
753-696699.
Hope this helps.

(Note - I chose to reply in public (instead of my normal reply through mail) to
let anyone else who was looking for a VME FDDI card know that they are
produced and supported :).

Well, if I may beat our drum briefly, Interphase is the world's largest
supplier (by a considerable margin) of VME FDDI cards and we have a local office
in the UK. Call Interphase International at (01144) 869 321222. (They are
located at Astral House, Granville Way, Bicester, Oxon OX6 OJT)

Regards,

-Gary-

Rockwell CMC sells FDDI interfaces for VME bus systems, all SUNs
supported. There are also versions with a CAM on board available, which is
needed to support multicast.
You should contact Caroline Oak, phone: ++ 44 81.751.6804 / fax: ++44
81.572.7716, Mail: CMC, Central House, 3 Lampton Road, Hounslow,
Middlessex, TW3 1HY

Since around 2 years we are using their interfaces without any problems.
