Can some advise me as to what conditions will cause a port on a DECrepeater 200 to fail with a segmentation error? This is a local repeater (DEREN-AA) which experiences a segmentation error every few days or so on the port attached to a fiber transceiver. I've already tried switching the Ethernet connections between ports A and B and the problem shifts ports as well. Specifically, does a segmentation error result from a physical problem (such as a bad transceiver), a data link problem (such as a corrupt packet) or can it result from either? Please E-mail responses to teague@acavax.lynchburg.edu. Thanks --- Kipp Teague VAX Systems Manager Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, VA
