Hi. I need to learn about networks to make myself more attractive to employers. Therefore, I have decided to install a simple network in my home, consisting of a unix system running sco unix v3.2.4, tcp-ip nfs and ethernet, and 2 dos systems running pc-nfs. The question is: is this a good way to get hands on experience with networking? if so, is this a reasonable network to learn on? Where do I get pc-nfs and tcp-ip for dos? What do i need in the way of hardware, boards, cables, tee's, and terminators? what is a good supplier of the necessary hardware? I have done sys admin for 6 years, but the company where i worked didn't have any networks. it was on an amdahl running uts. I am currently unemployed and all companies i have contacted, seem to want network experience. thanks for any help. Phil
