My neck of Marin just had digital cable turned on over the weekend.  I have my
appoinment to have that installed Jan 7.  According to the folks I spoke with
on the phone, cable modem service should follow suit in about a month, or the
end of January.  I have been waiting for this day for years! My legacy with
analog modems is nearly over, and the start of that legacy was with a 300 baud
Apple Cat II modem for my //e ;^)
