Damn, that's a good point!  Is there software that can measure the ENTIRE traffic rate
(not a sniffer mind you, but something that can return just the percent capacity used) on
the cable segment you are attached to?  I'd imagine that the cable companies would try
very hard to prevent such software from working, but it would be IMMENSELY helpful to know
exactly how much of the capacity of your cable data line is being used at any one time.
