    I've been in cable for 15 years. Was a network technician for 2
years for Charter and am now a headend technician, setting up the two
way headend gear and making sure noise gets fixed on the main lines. I
worked service calls and maintenance, including line noise (ingress) and
system activation in a 650 mile cable system before that. That's one
reason I'm against people modifying their drop lines and outlets; I've
spent thousands of hours repairing those types of problems.
