TCI@Home has been running into problems with their initial Schaumburg rollout (I was one of the first in the area to get hooked up, and it was a painful process). I'm guessing that they are trying to make sure everything is right before they light up the remaining nodes. Their little fiasco with my install cost them a free install + free month. I doubt they want to do that for all of Schaumburg. On the positive side of things, the performance itself is great. I don't know how long this ultrafast connection will last, but it's certainly A Good Thing. I get faster transfer rates than I do at the office (and that's quite a statement when you consider I work for a major communications company.) Alternatively, Interaccess now has Schaumburg on their list of DSL areas - I'd at least call them up to have them determine if they can service your area. If they can, I'd tell @Home to hurry it up, or give you the install for free if they want your business. If @Home drops the ball, then go with DSL. In the long right, it might be the best thing available. bill875@xnet.com wrote in message <36FD31C7.BCD@xnet.com>... >Has anyone heard when TCI will be activating @home in the rest of >Schaumburg, IL, specifically Node 25 near Weathersfield Way and Roselle >Road?
