Hello folks, I am quite used to networking a protocol analysis, but I am not really familiar with WinNT. I am looking for a means to dump all incoming and outgoing ip packets of an NT 3.51/NT 4.0 Workstation into an ASCII file with (at least) some interpretation of the raw data. 'snoop' or 'tcpdump' are similar tools for unix (I know, they even look for data that does not belong to the system they run on, but I don't care for this feature currently). I am ONLY interested in IP-data (and the higher layers), I don't care for Ethernet framing... I used once a feature (in Win95) that did what I wanted. But it seems to be available with the standard installation for IP over PPP only - not for IP over Ethernet traffic. I hope you can help me. Nicolas Iselin, Switzerland

Well, why not use UNIX ? Linux is very easy to install and works where NT works (the contrary is not true).

Well, this is my own reply when people ask for help with NT. Unfortunately, NT is the 'standard' workstation in here and I can't change the standard for 30'000 people... Nicolas
