Still got an internet connection? Between the corporations restricting
the bandwidth our tax dollars gave them and those underwater cables
mysteriously breaking, it might be harder and harder to find a peer to
peer with. But if they're there, you can say hello with the US
Robotics USR9601 USB Internet Phone.
If you've got a Skype account, the US Robotics USR9601 USB Internet
Phone is designed to auto-interface, making an internet call as easy
and comfortable as a normal call. Making the customers happy? It sure
can't have been approved by a communications C.E.O.! Unlike his
boardroom, there's integrated echo cancellation, so you won't hear you
coming back at you. All you'll get is the free flow of full duplex
information. There's also a pretty blue backlit, high resolution
graphical LCD that can display and language or character. Caller ID,
missed call display, the current date and time, it's even plug and
play, so you can use it anywhere. Maybe even the moon. Remember when
we were going to the moon? Yeah, who cares about that when there are
hedge funds and insider trading and that new thing Bono has where you
buy stuff to help the poor. Great work, Bono! We'd thank you in person
but your security guard won't let us past the gate.
The US Robotics USR9601 USB Internet Phone works on Windows 2000 and
XP and is USB 1.1 and 2.0 compatible. It also works with OS X. All you
need is a CD-ROM drive, 128 MB of RAM, 5 MB of free hard drive and a
400 MHz Pentium II. Remember how we still paid the phone company for
the Spanish-American War until the summer of 2006? Maybe they should
squirm a little.
