Hi: I have recently got emacs from Free Software Foundation and compiled it for the Sun Sparc. The problem is that based on what we got, we could not figure out how to make it work the way it's supposed to. e.g. we could not get the keyboard keys mapped right to what they shoud be. We could not even generate Meta characters that is usually ESC and then the character. There is a simple initialization problem that an emacs expert should know.
