Presume a user is running a version of vi (3.7?) that supports the
startup vi:command: sequence in the first or last lines of the file.
How can s/he do the following:
1) execute 2-5 commands instead of just one. The sequence
vi: command 1:
vi: command 2:
locks vi up until an interrupt.
2) execute 1 command and delete the line from the file (this
could be 2 commands if #1 was solved.
Note that my life will be complete even if we don't have 47 people posting
a message to the effect that it can not be done...
Also, out of curiosity, why does placing a : in front of the vi
shut off the command? (ie
vi:command:
will work fine but
:vi:command:
is ignored?
