One of the best programmer's editors is now available for
licensing and acquisition. Twice rated #1 by Computer
Language magazine. Running under Windows, OS/2, DOS, and UNIX, it
is a multi-file/multi-window editor with over 220 functions and a
built-in macro language. Highly configurable and very fast. It
is written entirely in C and C++, and is highly portable. Perfect
for a development environment, or as a Windows VBX/OCX control.

What's it called and who makes it? What UNIX platforms are supported?

Wow!!!! Emacs available for licensing and acquisition. Guess I don't
have to worry about getting it for free anymore ;)

Does it have Rexx support, programmable(!) syntax highlighting, folding,
Library QuickReference, QuickFunc, Templates, and packer support, and
phrase completion, to name a few of the features of the
shareware $10-Editor I'm using. :->

Well, Dietmar Eilert's "GoldEd" for Amiga computers. Have a look at
"aminet". Now guess what computer I'm using for programming. :-)

develop _for_ the Amiga. :-) >

: Sorry, GoldEd isn't available for Linux - and also won't be in future, since
: Linux doesn't support Rexx.

For Linux, you'll need to get a PD package called Regina. It even contains
the libraries and docs for building Rexx interfaces to you programs (not as
slick as the old Amiga or even the OS/2 implementations, but it works).
