If you're an Emacs junky and need something for DOS, then you should
use Epsilon instead of Brief. While not exactly GnuEmacs, Epsilon is
real close; close enough that you won't really notice during normal
use. It has the usual slew of features, plus some nice additions:

Session checkpointing
bookmarks
dos shell in a buffer
compile support
grep facility
handles files larger than available memory
xms/ems support
C-like extension language (no lisp :-( )
etc.
reasonable price
good tech support

Note: I have no connection with Lugaru Software, other than being a
satisfied customer.
