I've been using DEMACS for close to a year now, and have had none of
the difficulties you describe. My only problem was that I use 4DOS
instead of COMMAND.COM and DEMACS doesn't seem to handle it very well.
When I put "set COMSPEC=c:\dos\command.com" in the .bat file, that
problem was solved. Believe me, if it had ever hung up more than once
or twice or even once done anything to my hard disk, I would have
dropped it immediately, but I don't ever recall it doing anything like
that. I hope you get the problem solved. Good Luck.
