I know that it is possible to describe a variable with C-h v but is it
possible to describe all variables that matches a regular expression?
The result should be stored in a buffer.

I know that apropos (C-h a) works for functions, and I don't see any reason
why it shouldn't work for variables as well. I just haven't tried it.

Thank you folks that pointed me to the M-x apropos command. The only
drawback about that command is that it doesn't provide the current
value of the variable. Any help on that?
Regards
