? about Lords of Conquest

I'm curious if there are any people out there who played (or still play)
the EA game Lords of Conquest, a risk-like boardgame?  If so, could someone
send me a brief summary of gameplay?

I remember really liking that game several years ago, but I have forgotten
the details since then.  I'd like to implement a freeware version of it,
with possible enhancements.  Thanks for the info.
