I threw together a raw but functional freeware Doodle! viewer for MS-DOS. Use your favourite screen grabber to convert the files it displays. ftp://ftp.armory.com/pub/user/spectre/MSDOS/c64view.zip System requirements and a demo file are included in the zip package. Let me know what you think! Cameron Kaiser ckaiser@ucsd.edu visit the CWI site at http://www.armory.com/~spectre/cwi.html

However, does anybody know if there is any viewers for KoalaPaint, or the nice FLI (is that the correct name, long time since I saw that) mega-multicolor pictures on the PC? Reason I ask is that I have heard some questions for conversion programs for these formats in a Swedish Fidonet echo. \\// Peter - dat95pkn@idt.mdh.se - visit the home page of Atta Bitar! http://www.mds.mdh.se/~dat95pkn/8bitar ... wsOMR/SOUP v1.04b runs well in my 80486 with DOS 20.30

Hallo, for KoalaPainter, Doodle and some other formats you can use Trans64 1.22. It can view and save the pic as PCX. If someone has infos on how to decode FLI-pictures (and some demo pictures) I could add this to Trans64, too. Greetings Bernhard Schwall

I tried Trans64 once (don't know what version, though), but I couldn't get it
to understand that my C1541-II was connected (it did work in X1541).
Where can I find this program, in a version that hopefully works?
Please mail the reply, as I probably won't have time to check back much over
the holidays.

configure the program to use one of the turbo transfer modes... it
doesn't recognise my 1570 if i use the normal speed option... weird :)

I never had such problems with my 1570. But I had some other problems with it. Have you thought about mailing the bug report to the author of Trans64? I think it would help to get better support for the 1570 drive. Several people have told me that these drives are quite rare. And there seem to be enough differences to the 1571 drive to cause problems in some cases.
