Nope, not a trick, not a spam.
I don't know if this is the correct newsgroup to post this, but here goes...
I still have some old (if not ancient) computer stuff lying around, and
since I'll be moving pretty soon I want to get rid of it. It's all for
free, first come first serve. If you want it mailed to you, you pay the
postage and packaging. All items are AFAIK in working order.
Some of the items may seem not to be of any interest or relevance to you,
but in that case it's meant for one of the other newsgroups in the list. I
didn't feel like writing more than one message. =) If you don't want it,
but know of anyone who might, pass the message on. Come April everything
goes into the bin. (That's the trash can for Transatlantics.)
The list...
* 20 MB MFM hard disc with PC HD/floppy interface (HD works with an Acorn
Archimedes with a ST506 HD interface.) No leads, no software. Needs a
low-level format. (Acorn users: use !HForm that comes with the A5000.)
* CBM C64 Teletron modem. No software for it, but it does exist. If you
still own a C64 you shouldn't have any trouble finding the software.
* Data Becker Turbo Pascal. Original. (Yes, you read it right!) Manual is
fully in GERMAN. Including two backup discs of the original program disc.
For C64 with at least one 1541 disc drive.
* Data Becker Diskomat. Original. Manual is in GERMAN. For use with a C64
and (a) standard 1541 disc drive(s).
Now, how to contact. E-mail preferred, snail mail possible through:
