I'm want to develop software, that supports a wide variety of printers. So I need the escape-sequences of many printers like laser-printers (HP-LJet, Canon,... ) and matrix-printers (Epson,Star...). I don't want to look up all in the manuals and I don'T have all the printers to do the debugging. Questions: 1. Is there any documentation about esc-sequences of different printers 2. Is there any library, which I could use 3. Is there any service, which could give me the necessary informations in the future ? I only need some basic facilities of the printers, like: change from 10cpi to 17 cpi, switch to draft, set the page-margins... Thanks !
