I'm working with a font house to develop a custom type 1 font for postscript printing in a unix environment. The type 3 font that they sent me works fine in our environment. The type 1 font, however, is balked at by the printer. They have sent us both .pfa and .pfb fonts to try. Here is the command that I use to do the printing: $ cat font.pfa document.ps | lpr The fonts are sent to me in DOS format and I upload them to my unix workstation. Any suggestions on what the problem might be. It if matters, I'm using a Dataproducts LZR 1260 printer. --- Jeff Bailey Chemical Abstracts Service Columbus, OH 43221 INTERNET: jdb26@cas.org (614) 447-3600 BITNET: jdb26@cas.bitnet
