🚀 go-pugleaf

I have found some cool type 1 fonts which I want to convert to 
truetype because I do not have ATM nor do I wish to ( I know a lot of
people on the net hate truetype, but please don't flame me...).  Any
way, I am using Fontographer 1.0.5, and many fonts convert just fine,
but there are a couple which convert, but when I open the truetupe
font, there is nothing but blank characters, and it is clear that
there is nothing in the font ( they all =6K, less than their bitmaps).
BTW- I always get bitmaps that look fine.  Are there some fonts
which are buggy and won't convert, or is there a trick I don't know?
Or do I simply need to download them again?
