This may not relate, but as a musician, I ALWAYS mail myself a cassette of
my own recording before it goes anywhere (even performed live).  The date
marked on the package becomes the legal copyright date, and anything
produced after that date is an infringement on my copyright.

It's just so sad, I've never needed those stacks of envelopes (yet) for
proof of ownership to my stuff eh?
