Since you're using a PostScript printer, your driver won't use ATM for the
printing, so the ATM cache size is not your problem. With your setup, ATM
is used only for rasterizing the type on-screen. You'll get s light speed
improbvement if you give it a large enough cache; how large that is
depends on how many fonts you tend to use simultaneously, and how large
you use them (bigger sizes make bigger bitmaps and need more cache space).

Your printing failure may be related to memory as you suspect, but it
would be the RAM in your printer that's be in question. Make sure the PPD
file for your printer is accurate as to the amount of memory installed and
the fonts which are already in the printer. You could also try simplifying
the problem documents incrmentally to get a better feel for where the
problem lies. Another thing to check: What dowload settings are you using
in PageMaker?
