Hi folks, I need contact to people being experienced with Microsoft's OpenType webpage font embedding. There's a tool called WEFT available from http://www.microsoft.com/typograph(currently in version 2) with which one can convert True Type fonts into the Internet Explorer specific "EOT" format. This tool not only converts the fonts, it also crawls given URLs to determine the font usage there and gives to the user the option to modify these pages and to upload the font files. As for me, I'd rather prefer the Bitstream TrueDoc Web Font Wizard concept (in short words, you can do everything by yourself rather than stepping thru a wizard), since WEFT has quite some bugs that make it unusable in certain ways. Right now I ran into the problem, that WEFT doesn't seem to be able to analyze web pages thru a proxy. When it tries to connect to the given URL, it uses to hang up leaving the progress indicator on '0%' and '0 of X files analyzed'. Does anybody have experience with this problem or does anybody know an alternative way to convert TrueType fonts to the EOT format? Would be glad for some hints, thanks!
