PageMaker 6.0 uses the installed PS driver - but also creates some of it's own PS to generate the print file. Inspite of all the various speculations on other potential failures, the problem is probably related to the fact that for PM 6.0 - a PPD file is essential. The original poster indicated that she didn't have one for her non-Adobe printer. One approach would be to use Microsoft's PScript driver to install a generic sort of PPD - say for the Apple LaserWriter 380 printer - The drawback is that the printer won't have it's correct name - and the PPD might not accurately reflect the ROM fonts in her printer - but it should work fine for downloadable fonts. If this doesn't work - she needs to call tech support - where they can help her isolate the real problem. Terry O'Donnell Adobe Developer Relations

I have a 32-meg Pentium 100, Windows 3.1 and PM6. I also have ATM 3.2. I tried to install ATM 3.3 from PM6; had to take the tower back to the shop (it was a 16-meg 486 at the time). Anyway, all of my PostScript fonts cannot be used. Luckily I still have hundreds of TrueType, but I miss some of the special PS fonts I have.
