I am selling the following system for $1600 so I can start saving for a new
system. Please consider this offer carefully and keep in mind there are other
items (books, all original manuals, etc) which I did not take the time to
describe.
If you wish to contact me, you can mail ciembron@ucsu.Colorado.EDU or ask for
Mike at 666-5484 BEFORE 9PM. Please DO NOT call after 9pm.
Base unit: Minitower (desktop or floor) steel case with 220 watt power supply
plus speed indicator, reset switch, and keyboard lock
Mainboard: Klever Computers K386SX. Features Intel 80386SX-16 MHz processor,
Chips & Technologies chipset. 0 wait states, slots for 8 MB RAM,
two serial and one parallel port, dual floppy controller, dual IDE
hard disk interface, clock/calendar, shadow RAM capability, LIM
4.0 EMS support, Phoenix BIOS, 5 16-bit slots, 1 8-bit slot, FCC
class B certified.
Math unit: Intel 80387SX-16 Math CoProcessor installed. Manuals & diagnostic
software included.
Memory: 6-1x9 80ns SIMM modules installed, for 6 MB total. Hardware uses
memory as XMS; 386SX allows for software EMS emulation.
Hard disk: Two drives are installed; they are controlled by the motherboard,
so no additional slot is used. Drive 0 is a 130 MB Maxtor Colorado
Cheyenne 7120A. It has an average seek time of 15ms and 64KB cache. Drive 1 is a 42MB Teac B1-606. It has an average seek of 26ms.
Floppies: Teac 3.5" as drive A: and Teac 5.25" as drive B:. Both floppy
drives are capable of reading and writing high density diskettes,
and both are controlled by the mainboard, so again no extra slot is
used.
VGA Card: OAK Technology OTI-67 upgraded to 512KB RAM. Handles up to 256
colors in 640x480 and 800x600, plus 16 colors at 1024x768. Features both analog and digital monitor connections. Uses 16-bit slot.
Monitor: Scott SM-2525, a 13-inch, 0.28mm dot pitch color VGA display.
Handles 640x480 normally, 800x600 with slight distortion. (But it
is designed just for 640x480.) Connects to VGA card with analog
cable.
Pointing: Microsoft 400dpi Mouse (new "sleek" design). Includes software and
instruction manual. Serial version.
Sound: Creative Labs Sound Blaster, version 2.0, with all original manuals
and software. I will also include a pair of mini-speakers. Uses
another slot. (8-bit)
Printer: Star NX-1000 Multi-Font, a 9-pin dot matrix. Parallel interface.
Software: The following are included, all with original manuals and disks:
Microsoft MS-DOS 5.0
Microsoft Windows 3.1
Microsoft QuickBASIC 4.5
Microsoft Windows Entertainment Packs I and II
Borland Turbo C++ 1.0
Symantec Norton Desktop for Windows 1.0
Berkeley Systems After Dark 2.0
Microcom Virex-PC 2.2
NBI Legacy 2.0
Various additional software and books are included, but are not
mentioned here (nothing to write home about). This additional
items were NOT used to compute the system's price.
Again, if you call, make it before 9PM. (666-5484)
