Greetings. I have access to 3D-Studio here on
a couple of campus machines and have managed to
produce some pretty stunning still images.
Some of these have been logos, and what not, for
pseudo-clients of mine.
Recently, though, I was asked if I could do a
simple animation of one of the logos. It's
pretty straightforward, or so I thought, just
having the logo stay in place but rotating
about its own imaginary y-axis. (Does that make
sense? I know I've got the terminology wrong)
I've spent many hours, frustrating ones, trying
to accomplish this, seemingly simple, task.
Unfortunately, I really don't have the background
to understand how tracks and keys work together.
I've been capable of moving the camera about the
object, but I need a stationary camera, and a
fixed rotating object.
Can any kind soul out there, who knows the answers
to these questions _please_ help me out?
Any sort of tutorial is welcome.
Thanks, much, in advance.
