Don't forget to add at least $1000.00 for transfer fee and $3500.00
for support to get 8.0.

Confirmed by who? Who specificaly at Alias|Wavefront authorized
this supposed transfer and what are the terms? I was told
by Alias in Toronto that there is _no_way_ an Alias seat
can be transfered, and they will not honor the support for
the "new" owner.

I've contemplated selling my I2/Alias, but it can't be legaly
done, according to Alias.

What if an individual (or company) incorporated a separate business in
order to purchase PowerAnimator? The sole assets of the corporation
could be PowerAnimator. By "hiring" the corporation, the individual (or
company) would then have full use of PowerAnimator as a service of the
separate corporation. To transfer the license one would only have to
sell the corporation. Since incorporation gives a business a legal
status independent of owner, the corporation (and in turn whatever
individual or body owned it) would control that corporation's assets
(PowerAnimator, in this case). Such a scheme might also allow a wider
variety of financing schemes, but I'm less certain of that.

Is there a flaw in this that I'm missing? I can't see any grounds for
Alias to objec (well, at least not legal grounds <g>). Has anyone tried
anything like this?

If you don't have anything intelligent to say, then save your remarks
for someone who does. I'm a little tired of people slamming others
trying to sale.
