I wouldl like some information on which stand-alone 3D video card to purchase. I would like to hear your opinions on the Jazz MM Adrenaline Rush 3D 6MB, and the Intergraph 3D VooDoo Rush, and the Hercules DYNAMITE 3D/GL PCI 8MB-SGRAM 2D/3D MPEG2, and STINGRAY 128/3D 6MB EDO PCI 128BIT 2D/3D 3DFX. Any other opinions on cards would be excellent. Which card will be my best choice? Joshua Please respond via email: jbrent@mpcu.com

"Best" is probably dependent on your requirements and applications. But if you're interested in cards that are aimed at OpenGL acceleration, there's a nice article in "Computer Graphics World" October '97, pp 65-72 entitled "3D Power" by Barbara Robertson. Their web site is www.cgw.com, though I don't know if the article is on line. They review products from 3DLabs, Dynamic Pictures, Evans & Sutherland, Intergraph and Mitsubishi. -- Himanshu Gohel MAILTO:gohel@csee.usf.eduXXX http://www.csee.usf.edu/~gohel/ Geometric Modeling/Graphics Research Group, U of South Florida, Tampa,FL ||> I've got to make a play to make my lover stay <|| ||> What would an angel say the devil wants to know... <|| ||> "Criminal", Fiona Apple <||
