I am having a problem with the Select version of Corel Draw 7. This is only a recent phenomenon. I have tried reinstalling, but that has not helped. When adding text to my picture, if I go down the list of fonts, the whole PC freezes. It is not always the same font, and I can select the previously offending font, and there are no problems. There is no other application running. Can anybody help?

How many fonts do you *have*? The most common reason for crashing during font selection is *way* too many fonts. Have a great day! I have 160 fonts. Is this too much? Ian. Ernest Fairchild wrote in message <7r43eg$j5p$1@news.asu.edu>... >How many fonts do you *have*? "installed" according to Font Navigator or is that the total in your
font directory?
I recently solved this sort of problem for a friend who had only 100
odd "nstalled"but it turned out there were over 1,000 in the
c:\windows\fonts directory.
Just moved 80% of them (manually - not with Font Navigator) to a new
directory outside the c:\windows area, and all the problems
disappeared.

I double checked, and there are only 160 fonts in the c:\windows\fonts directory. Thanks for trying.
