Hi, Folks! I'm looking for really good tips and tricks to post on my website. The site, "The Desktop", is devoted to graphics design and modern culture, and is being visited by a growing number of people interested in web and traditional graphic design. What we're doing: The deal is, I want to put up pages devoted to the best tips for designers, best tricks for popular software like Photoshop, PageMaker, Illustrator and others, and the best business tips for any growing business, especially those in design and advertising. What you get: If you send a great tip or trick, I'll create an example showing the solution, along with your tip, your name, and (if you have one) your picture. You'll also get a free e-mail link and a web site link if you have one. Additionally, people with ideas or tips on running your business, like bidding on work, tracking billable hours, collecting from clients, buying insurance, anything about business is welcome. Greate exposure and the opportunity to contribute to the web community This is a great way to get your name out there, and show what you learned from all your hard work. You get free exposure and credit for cool tricks you know (that is, if you can stand parting with them!), on cool-looking pages that others will be impressed by. Other artists on the web get to learn new stuff and help make the internet less of a global eyesore for the rest of us. Plus there's an added benefit. . . Win a free Guide To Electronic Prepress: If you have the best tip 'o' the month, we'll send you a free Pocket-size book to help you fend off the service bureau technicians. Called "Pocket Guide to Digital Prepress", we'll give one book away every month to the writer with the best tip or trick. Interested? Send your tip or trick to "tricks@thedesktop.com." Attach a small (30x30 pixels or less jpeg or gif) picture file if you want, along with your email address and URL, if any. Hey, you may already have won. . . Thanks in advance, and hope to see you on my site, Eric Oxenberg, web designer <www.thedesktop.com>
