Subject: Distributed Computation for Computer Animation
I'd like to thank all the people who responded to my "Distributed
computation for computer animation" survey. I received several
interesting responses. Since the summary of these responses was
rather long, I've mailed it directly to the people who requested a
summary rather than post it. If you'd like a copy, send me e-mail and
I'll send one off.
Cheers,
John Peterson

Subject: DI3000 output to a HP plotter
I am trying to get DI3000 code (on unix 4.3BSD) to send output to
a HP plotter. We have the 7221 device driver. Has anyone out there
successfully accompilshed this? I would prefer to have it work off a tty line
instead of accessible by only one terminal. Please mail any suggestions
to ...cbosgd!osupyr!judy
Thanks Judy. Ohio State University, College of the Arts Computer Lab.

Subject: Colorgraphics Lifeline 3 info wanted
Does anybody have technical and non-technical (manufacturer, price, etc...)
information about the Colorgraphics Lifeline 3 workstation that I believe is
used for downloading and displaying in motion TV weather maps obtained
by satellite? Any info is greatly appreciated.

From: Andy Cromarty <Info-Graphics-Request@ADS.ARPA>
Subject: Apologies for Info-Graphics garbage
My apologies for the "recursive" contents of the last one or two
Info-Graphics releases. A runaway BITNET mailer in Switzerland seems
to have decided that Info-Graphics@ADS.arpa was an ideal place to which
it should route mail that was originated by Info-Graphics@ADS.arpa.
(I have cut their distribution off until they fix their mailer.)
While I have your attention for a moment: If you wish to be removed
from the Info-Graphics list at some point in the future, please be
sure you are on the list before asking me to remove you. This may
seem silly, but I've received about a half-dozen requests recently
from people asking me to remove them when they aren't on this list
at all. In many cases (perhaps especially for BITNET sites), there
is a local redistribution scheme and you registered with them, not me,
to receive copies of Info-Graphics mail. Check with your site
administrator about this first if there's any chance you aren't on
Info-Graphics. Thanks.
