I have converted an image format into the explorer lattice format
and i would like to be able to save that into a file to compare with
the original data i have.. Is that possible? and how?

NP. i read through the manual very quickly but i could not find any
hints, may i have missed it(probably because my train was late today 
and it is raining and i am not feeling very well ......etc...i think 
you have heard enough from me ..BYE)
