bus error from home-grown module

I have written a module (in Fortran) which extracts a specific region of a
2-D perimeter lattice and sends this new, smaller lattice to the output port
of the module. I have tested the subroutine outside of Explorer using my own
Fortran main program and it seems to work fine. However, when I construct
the module within mbuilder and try to run it within Explorer, I get a bus
error and the module dumps core. I have run Edge on the core file and
discovered that the bus error occurs within the wrapper code at a line which
looks like:

cx DataFree( lato );

where lato is the 2-D data array for the lattice.

I imagine the problem lies in the fact that the size of the data array and
coordinates array are NOT known by the wrapper code until the subroutine
returns.

Has anyone out there seen this behavior before? Is there an obvious solution
that I am missing? If necessary, I can place a tar file containing the
necessary files on one of the explorer ftp sites.
