I'm a new (3 week) user of explorer, and have come across a small problem
with a particular map I've set up.  The map basically reads data in (a
DataScribe module that translates from another program's output) into a 3-D
lattice, then renders a slice of that lattice.  I've set it up with the
timer module to step sequentially through the lattice, render each slice, 
and then save it with WriteImg to disk.  AnimFile provides the filenames, 
and I've managed to sychronise it (kind of!) with a Delay module I hacked
from the Timer one.  The problem is that this will only write about 70-90
files before the WriteImg module crashes and is removed from the map. 
Adding it back in and continuing doesn't help - I have to exit explorer
and restart to continue.  This means that I can't reset my Render view 
exactly, and it becomes rather a nuisance!  So far, I've kept the file
sequences to under 80 and its been OK, but I will certainly want to save
several hundred images to disk at some stage (and later dump to a video).

Can anyone suggest a way to
  i) preserve the exact viewpoint/direction/zoom etc of the Render module
 ii) allow more files to be created sequentially
and/or
iii) more efficiently create an animation sequence.

If it helps, we have a standard Indigo w/ 24Mb, 1.4Gb hard disk, 100Mb arena
size.  Thanks for any help you can give.
