I am trying to run "Explorer" remote from an HP710 with HP-UX 8.07. "Explorer" is installed on a Personal Iris (hostname "sgi"). DISPLAY and permissions seem properly set. While working perfect locally and to some extend successfully when used remote from a Sun, it does the following on the HP: Three windows would pop up, but close again immediately. Theese are the messages, that I get (I assume the warnings not to be relevant to the problem): ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- $ remsh sgi /usr/explorer/bin/explorer Warning: Color name "sgigray76" is not defined in server database Warning: Cannot convert string "<Key>InsertChar " to type VirtualBinding Warning: Cannot convert string "<Key>DeleteChar " to type VirtualBinding Warning: Cannot convert string "<Key>InsertLine " to type VirtualBinding Warning: Cannot convert string "<Key>DeleteLine " to type VirtualBinding Warning: Color name "sgiteal" is not defined in server database Warning: Color name "sgigray84" is not defined in server database Warning: Color name "sgigray52" is not defined in server database X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) Major opcode of failed request: 1 (X_CreateWindow) Value in failed request: 0x0 Serial number of failed request: 2516 Current serial number in output stream: 2519 User interface: exited, code 1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Does anyone experience a similar problem or have any suggestions?
