I need to write a lot of data on a window using the "arc" function with a very high data rate (about 1 arc every 3 or 4 msec). On the same window there shall be 10 objects like bitmap or icon (about 50x50, at least 3 colors plus transparence). When the "arc" data is drawn in the same position of the graphics object these have to remain on the screen (graphics object over "arc" data) except for the trasparence zone. The graphics object have to be flicker free. I resolved this problem using X-11 using 2 Device Context, one with 6 bits (for the "arc" data") and the other with 2 bits. When I write in the first DC the mask don't allow to write in the second one. Anyone know how to resolve this problem in MS Windows NT (or 2000); at the moment I'm using Borland Builder C++ 3.0 Best Regards, Fabio.
