How do you manage to "forget your disc in the drive" ??? My ZIP drive physically kicks the disc out when I shut down Windows (95), making it impossible to "forget" the disc in the drive ... or are you perhaps just switching off instead of shutting down ?? (And that, of course, isn't a good habit, as it can lead to other problems with data.) To be fair to Iomega, my ZIP has performed without a problem to date, as have those belonging to people I know, and that includes the imaging bureau I use. The bureau's ZIP drives, by the way, take quite a pounding, and hold up well .... although I must admit that when I asked their advice about what to buy they strongly suggested that I NOT buy a JAZZ drive, as they've had problems with them .... they of course have to have as many options as possible so as to be able to handle what people throw at them ..... if enough customers have it, they have to have it too ...
