Double Gack! I just loaded a multimedia CD from a vendor. After two
minutes of loading (on my 486dx66 with 20MB RAM), it finally came up.
Another 40 seconds passed before my mouse-click was visually
recognized. After it crashed--due to my impatience and poor program
planning--I looked at the disk with the file manager and found the
jerks to have made the loader into a twelve point seven megabyte
app-file with multimeg .mov modules! I wanted a product database I
could consult, not a work of art that takes a P200 8xCD to load in
decent time. <sound of snapping CD in background>

NOTE TO WEB PAGE DESIGNERS:
I run a v.34 modem and will not tolerate poor web design. Folks who
make a 32-page-long page with fifty six inline graphics won't find me
visiting them a second time. Those with a short page and links will
find me there all the time. Graphics are cute but time is money. If
you find the right balance, you'll get the traffic. Business people
want utility, not cutesy. The pages with class will load quickly.
That's my $0.04. (inflation)
