How do I calculate coordinates using extrusions?

Hello everybody!

I wrote a program that reads in AutoCAD DXF (R14) files, and it doesn't
have a problem as long as the extrusion is the default (0, 0, 1), it
simply doesn't care at all about it.

But c. 10% of the entities it has to read does not have the default
extrusion, but for example 0, -0.559, 0.829. The start point of a line
(10, 20, 30-groups) is given with 17000, 72000, -50000, but should be
something like 17000, 80000, 0.

I didn't find any usefull documentation, so here's the question:

How do I calculate the right coordinate with a given non-default
extrusion?

thanks.
