This is a serious question - not a flip remark: How DOES Windose/NT allocate RAM. On a Mac you select the application and allocate a minimum RAM size and a preferred RAM size. The computer warns you if your minimum RAM size is just barely available but allows you to procede. If more RAM is available the application uses all that it can. Does NT just use all availbale RAM? Does it minimize system resource requirements for large applications? Can you disable certain system resources to maximize the amount of RAM available to a particular application like a Mac?
