It seems that Domino has a bug that causes CGI programs to hang if an HTML form submits a stream of data that is within a certain size range. The behavior we are seeing on the Domino web server is as follows: Submitting a form with x number of bytes causes a CGI to hang where 951 <= x <= 976. We have duplicated this behavior with two different applications written with Delphi 4. We have compiled the applications with two different sets of CGI helper components, one being the CGI components shipped with Delphi, the other being CGIExpert. We are unable to reproduce this behavior under IIS, although, as an aside, we are able to cause a similar behavior against IIS when x >= 53225 bytes of data using the native Delphi CGI components. However we see the same thing under Domino at x >= 1975 bytes. With the CGIExpert component, we have not been able to reproduce this behavior, even submitting streams as high as 2MB. Could it be that IIS just has a higher "pain" threshold that Domino? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. --== Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ ==-- ---Share what you know.
