Annie;

Here at the UofCalgary, we also have a lab with 34 workstations,
2 facilitator machines, boards and projection. We've got Ventana
GroupSystems, VisionQuest, OptionFinder and some new Windows
software that I'm developing. Over 50 groups have used our
facility, including internal University groups. I'd have to
agree that satisfaction was high, meeting time somewhat shortened
and some kinds of work attempted that wouldn't have otherwise
been possible (concurrent editting).

I would DEFINITELY recommend using same-time, same-place Group
Support Systems for strategic planning. I wouldn't recommend
using JUST a conferencing product like COSY, unless you've got a
fair bit of experience moderating such "meetings". We use our
conferencing products merely for information dissemination - we
don't find it too useful for brainstorming. Besides, you'd have
to top it off with lots of regular meetings anyway.
