Greetings!

I am trying to find out if the following exists as a purchasable
entity:

An "action register" or "issue management system", which would allow
for assigning actions to one or more individuals. These actioned
individuals could then post follow-up comments to the actions, and
there could be give-and-take between actioner and actionee, as well
as others who could be "copied" on the actions. Ideally, dates could
be assigned to the actions, which could be closed by the actioner
upon completion. Screens for selection, summary view, detail CRUD,
etc. as appropriate.

The desire, obviously, would be for Mac and Windows clients, over
wide-area Ethernet, with a data or database server.

If not for security and user interface issues, I would suggest
USENET or even PacerForum, but neither quite meet the need exactly.
Bear in mind that our customers for this application are largely
novice executive-level types.

falconer@bnr.ca and I will post a summary when I have something
conclusive to put together.

I have posted this to comp.sys.mac.wanted and comp.groupware and I
will try for AppleLink as well. I would be grateful for suggestions
of other places to post.
