Hello,
i have a very huge problem with my IBM Aptiva and Win 95.
When I start my computer, the system goes to the Windows95-Picture and then
it shows directly the "C:\Windows>"-prompt. Even when I type 'exit' or 'win'
to start Windows, I always get this:
"You are currently running in MS-DOS mode. Do you want to return to normal
mode, to run Windows applications again? Y or N."
When I type "Y" or "enter", the start-process begins new:
IBM Symbol/ "Loading Windows 95"/ Windows Logo/ "C:\Windows".
I loaded the Master Boot File new, but nothing changed.
The only way I found to start Windows is to break the start-process, when
"Loading Windows 95" shows up and then go through the step-by-step-process.
Windows starts, when I dont load config.sys and autoexec.bat.
When Windows ist started, I get an Info Box with this message:
"Environment variable DMIDIR not set"
and this error message:
"BMSUBS32.dll is missing".

Here is my Machine:
