internet information maintainers - job descriptions

I wonder if anyone has done a survey of the job titles, descriptions and  
pay scales for people who install and maintain WAIS, gopher, WWW and other  
Internet network information services?  If so, I'd be greatful for a copy,  
if not I could summarize replies if there is interest.  Thanks.
